This is a limited edition box made only for the Japanese market that has been out of print for a long time and is quite unique.
Included in the box is the music played by Percy Faith (and many others) from the then current film themes and includes a unique poster showing the godfather and family and key actors in the form of a calendar.

Percy Faith (April 7, 1908 – February 9, 1976) was a Canadian-American bandleader, orchestrator, composer, and conductor known for his lavish arrangements of instrumental ballads and Christmas standards. He is often credited with popularizing the “easy listening” or “mood music” format.
It became a staple of American popular music in the 1950s and persisted well into the 1960s.
Although his career as a professional orchestra leader began at the height of the swing era, he refined and reconsidered orchestration techniques, including the use of large string groups, to tone down and fill out the brass-dominated pop music of the 1940s.
He was nominated for a total of 6 Oscars


★Love Theme From " The Goodfather " / Percy Faith And His Orchestra

-The Godfather is a 1972 American mafia film directed by Francis Ford Coppola, based on the novel of the same name by Mario Puzo, who co-wrote the screenplay with Coppola. The film, starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, was nominated for eleven Oscars, winning three.

The Godfather was an outstanding success at the box office and is one of the artistically most important works in film history.

★Last Tango In Paris / Andre Kostelanetz And His Orchestra

-The Last Tango in Paris (original title: Ultimo tango a Parigi) is the sixth feature film by Italian film author Bernardo Bertolucci from 1972.

The work polarized criticism, some sex scenes were perceived as unacceptable and demeaning. Ratings ranged from recognition as a masterpiece to horrified rejection.

★Happy / Love Theme From "Lady Sings The Blues" Percy Faith And His Orchestra

-Lady Sings the Blues is a 1972 American biographical drama film directed by Sidney J. Furie about jazz singer Billie Holiday, loosely based on her 1956 autobiography, which in turn took its title from Holiday's song.
It was produced by Motown Productions for Paramount Pictures. Diana Ross played Holiday in her feature film debut, alongside Billy Dee Williams, Richard Pryor, James T. Callahan and Scatman Crothers.

The film was nominated for five Oscars in 1973, including Best Actress for Diana Ross.

★Love Story / Caravelli And His Magnificent Strings

-Love Story is a 1970 American romantic drama film written by Erich Segal, who was also the author of the best-selling 1970 novel of the same name. The film was produced by Howard G. Minsky and directed by Arthur Hiller. In his film debut, Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal co-starred alongside John Marley, Ray Milland and Tommy Lee Jones.

The film is considered one of the most romantic by the American Film Institute (#9 on the list) and is one of the highest-grossing films of all time when adjusted for inflation.

★From russia With Love / John Barry And His Orchestra

-From Russia with Love is a 1963 spy film and the second installment in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions and Sean Connery's second role as MI6 agent 007 James Bond.

In 2004, Total Film magazine ranked it the ninth greatest British film of all time; It was the only Bond film to appear on the list.
It was also the first film in the series to win a BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography.

★The Sounds Of Silence / Caravelli And His Magnificent Strings

-"The Sound of Silence", originally "The Sounds of Silence", is a song by the American musical duo Simon & Garfunkel, written by Paul Simon.
It was also featured in the 1967 film The Graduate and included on the film's soundtrack album.
"The Sound of Silence" was a top ten hit in several countries worldwide including Australia, Austria, West Germany, Japan and the Netherlands.

The song is widely considered a classic folk-rock song and was listed along with the rest of the Sounds of Silence album in the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry in 2012 for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically important."
