The striking Blanche series, comprising this elegant floor lamp, and two different sized matching pendants, was designed by award-winning Danish design duo Bjørn & Balle from "Danish Design for the People (DFTP)", and was produced by Nordlux. Bjørn & Balle are known for their striking pieces that combine minimalistic Scandinavian design with modern international influences. This sturdy, high-quality, well finished dimmable lamp is made primarily of fine brushed brass. The opalized lampshade has a diameter of 32cm and a height of 14cm, and comes with a built-in permanent LED light source. The lamp emits a pleasant warm white light (14.6 Watt; 3000 Kelvin; 1600 lumen), illuminating both upwards and downwards. There is a touch-sensitive on/off contact and dimmer switch on the top of the lamp (photo #28-29). A memory function remembers the last dimmer setting. The IP rating is IP20, making it suitable for indoor use in non-wet surroundings. The fitting is rated Class 2, double isolated, so can be operated without the need for an earth wire. The 141cm high lamp comes with an attached 2.5 metre white cloth-covered cable. The lampshade has a diameter of 32cm, height 14cm. The base is 30cm in diameter. The lamp is unused and comes in the original packaging. This has only been opened to photograph the lamp. Photos #5-7 are stock photo; the other photos are of the lamp for sale. The lamp is in perfect new condition without marks, blemishes, or bumps. It comes with a plastic bag containing three small grub screws and matching Allen key for attaching the two sets of legs and stabilising the lamp's tripod legs (see photo #60). This is easily done without the need for other tools and the lamp is then ready to be plugged in for use. The lamp comes with an instruction leaflet with details on setting-up and maintenance of the lamp.
