Yaku: Translation
On a sunny afternoon, I happened to dream of fragrant grass. When I woke up, I felt a subtle pleasure and a new poem came to mind. The curtain covering the window didn't sway in the wind, and I could hear the voice of a nightingale. Sitting down and looking at the garden, I noticed the sun casting shadows on the flowers. (By Kou Jun, "A Poem Written on a Spring Afternoon")
