Bright and lively ruby ​​red colour. On the nose the bouquet is expressed in fruity tones of raspberry, sour cherries and currants, followed by spicy notes of juniper, liquorice and a vegetal trace reminiscent of moss and fern. The sip confirms the complex texture, evident in a composed tannin and a full and enveloping body. It is a fresh, balanced and great tasting wine. The Rosso “Montevertine” is obtained from a blend of grapes that follows one of the grape varieties and produced in the traditional Chianti way: the harvest takes place manually and the grapes, transformed into must, ferment in concrete tanks for about twenty days, for then proceed to the maturation phase for approximately 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels. The grapes for this Sangiovese come from a single south-southwest vineyard planted in 1982 located in Radda in Chianti, among the magical hills painted by vineyards with soils rich in iron. Difficult to give up such a pearl!
