Exceedingly difficult to find - an original Heart Shield Bible, from 1943 when these shields were sold (The shield / bible itself is also dated 1943) WITH!! the original maling box, named to Hebert E Wilson from Kentucky, given to him as a christmas gift in 1944. Both the bible and the mail out box have his name. This bible is in nice condition; the cover has a beautiful patina and much of the gold finish still. The metal plates were to prevent a bullet from reaching the soldier’s heart (which they did on several occasions. surface of the bible has a great patina and has the text: ''GODS WEAPON''', this text is rather uncommon - A very nice 100% original item for your US WW2 collection; will for sure be a centerpiece in your collection! I havent done any research on the soldier's history, but this should be easy to do!
