Painting with a nude in interior was executed ca. in 1890s by good listed Romanian-German genre and nude painter Victor Schivert (1863 Jassy (Romania) - after 1900 Munich). The artist sutied in Munich under A:Gabl and O.Seitz , worked in Munichand recieved acknowledge for his nude paintings.
Literature: Thieme/Becker "Allgemeines Lexikon der bildenden Künstler.." ; Boetticher 2Malerwerke des 19 jahrhuderts"II/2; AKL (Genaral Artist Lexicon) Index.
Inscription: signed and titeld in German München (Munich), lower left
Technique: oil on canvas. Original period gilt frame.
Measurements: unframed 21 1/2 " x 25 3/4" (54,5 x 65 cm), framed 27 1/4" x 31 1/4 " (69 x 79,5 cm)
