Millennium Edition was an extremely limited collection of the best vintages produced by Bodegas Riojanas in the last quarter of the 20th century. Only the finest casks from the better years were selected and aged separately from the rest. The ageing period was prolonged for a few more years than usual.
Aged for 8 years and a half in cask. Wine bottled in 1990 and launched in 2000 by Bodegas Riojanas wrapped in the original paper. This extremely limited edition was known as 'Millenium Edition 2000'. Exceptional storage conditions. Fully mature and therefore drinking well now, or cellar for the next 20 years.
The wine was planned to be bottled in February 1985 as the regular Reserva. The finest casks were selected by tasting and the wine was aged for 5 more years. Finally, it was hand-bottled directly from the barrel in 1990. Not filtered. Currently, it would be classified "Gran Reserva" by the Regulatory Board of La Rioja.

Packed in a special wine box officially certified by UPS and DHL. Bottles are packed individually, one by one, and wrapped in a 3 layers bubble wrap. Due to the nature of the wine and the value of the products all lots are shipped with insurance coverage. ***
