This model is one of the earlier editions of CMC, better known as the " silver gauges " These racing cars were brought into the race without paint because of the maximum permissible weight in order to save on the extra weight of the paint. As mentioned earlier, the model is one of the earlier versions and is therefore no longer available in the regular trade. Truly an object for the real collector.
