The Wolf Hunter Sculptor Jenő Grantner, winner of the Munkácsy Prize. He studied art between 1922-1929 in Applied Arts, and in 1930 he completed a one-year course at the Academy of Fine Arts in the sculptor department of István Szentgyörgyi. Since 1928, he has regularly participated in exhibitions. In 1934-35, he went on a study trip to Rome as a scholarship recipient. In the early 1930s, he won prizes at several exhibitions and sculpture competitions. Until 1944, he also appeared in foreign exhibitions (Rome, Venice). In 1939 he received the Klebelsberg Prize of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and in 1942 the József Ferencz Prize. Even after 1945, he won prizes in many sculpture competitions. He cultivated almost all genres of sculpture, created monumental sculptures, small sculptures, and building sculptures. His works were characterized by solid plastic knowledge, sophisticated rhythmic solutions, and a dynamic, cohesive representation of the complex movement of the human body.
