In this lot there's a really rare old decorative vase from the studio of Jean Gerbino (1876-1966), Poterie de Vallauris.
Signed “Vallauris TA.MI”.
Ceramic of top quality with the Nerikomi technique. This is an old Japanese ceramic technique. This means that the vase was built up and shaped using differently types of coloured clay, and was subsequently, after the firing process, polished as smooth as glass and transparently glazed.
