Marcha Anconitana cum Spoletano Ducatu (1609)
A handsomely engraved small map of Ancona and Spoleto on the eastern coast of Italy from Ravenna to Pescara, displaying mountains, towns and forests. The map is decorated with charming strapwork title and scale of miles cartouches. Latin text on verso.
References: Van der Krogt (Vol. III) #7350:351.
The map is drawn from Mercator's map of the same region beginning in 1595, which was included in his Atlas.
This is the 1609 Latin version of the Atlas Minor by Hondius, published in Amsterdam.
