Design M Ingo Maurer - 台灯 - ML1 (1960'S) - 玻璃

This beautiful glass lamp, type ML1, was manufactured in the 1960s, and was designed by Ingo Maurer for Design M, wich the founded in 1963, in his early days as an industrial designer. Ingo Maurer was a German industrial designer who specialised in the design of lamps and light installations. He was nicknamed "poet of light". Since 1989, his design and objects have been presented in a series of exhibitions, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (1993). In 2002 the Vitra Design Museum organized Ingo Maurer – Light – Reaching for the Moon, a travelling exhibition with several shows in Europe and in Japan. In 2007 the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York presented the exhibition Provoking Magic: Lighting of Ingo Maurer. The metal ring in the middle looks a little dirty after almost 60 years, but is not cleaned yet to preserve the original branding sticker from Design M from the sixties that is still on it. Height with lamp (as in pictures) is 41 cm. Height without lamp is 27 cm. The textile shade has been replaced by a modern day app controlled big bulb lamp with dimmer and color temperature control for great looks and convenience, but any E27 lamp will do, or you can add a textile shade to your taste. There is a switch at the cable. Now you can own an original Ingo Maurer ML1 lamp from the 1960's, a timeless masterpiece of mouth-blown glass and German industrial design.
