An asteroid impact on Mars forcefully ejected surface rock, sending it on a journey through interplanetary space (157.48 million km in our direction), and it ultimately fell to Earth as a meteorite!
The above meteorite specimen is in the process of being classified and has already been issued a name - it's provisionally called, MEHARRIZE 001.
This specimen has been submitted as a Martian shergottite meteorite by top classifying scientist Anthony Irving (University of Washington) and has Provenance and Certificate of Authenticity from Roberto Vargas.
