Adolf Schild S.A. Company (AS) is one of the few companies that produced a mechanical alarm watch. Its 1475 calibre is the most common movement for alarm watches, used by Bulova Watch Co., Benrus, Citizen, Revue Thommen, Vulcain Watch. In the 1970s, with the beginning of the quartz revolution, ETA, the new owner of AS, sold all the machinery to the 1st Moscow Watch Factory (Poljot). This is how the new soviet alarm movement, the Poljot 2612, came to be.
