For sale is a rare, large antique coffee grinder from France.

Made from cast iron and labeled with ** A.Martin neuves forges annee 1876 des masures par Renwez **Size No.3.

Renwez is a town in the French Ardennes on the Belgian border.

And this coffee grinder was probably made with this inscription in 1876 as a souvenir of the opening of the railway between the towns of Charleville-Mezieres-Hirson.
The town of Renwez was on this railway line.

Nicely set on a wooden shelf with a storage drawer

On the back with an adjusting screw to adjust the coarseness of the coffee beans.
