Bielle 2014 - Brut de Fût - b. 2021 - 70 cl

The Bielle distillery is located on the island of Marie-Galante in the West Indies. In 1769, Jean-Pierre Bielle grew coffee on the island and later, in 1826, his sons joined forces to create a sugar refinery covering 53 hectares. Rum production on the estate did not begin until the early 20th century. After the Second World War, the estate was abandoned and then bought by Paul Rameaux in 1955. In 1975, the estate, the house and the distillery were taken over by SEDB (Société d'Exploitation de la Distillerie Bielle). Today, the Bielle distillery is one of the most renowned in the West Indies. The sugar cane comes from small local producers. The cane juice, obtained using two mills, is fermented for 48 hours before being distilled using three stainless steel Savalle columns.

This rum was distilled in 2014 and racked 7 years later, in 2021. It was aged in ex-Bourbon casks and matured in mellow white wine casks. The rum is bottled brut de fût.
