Scarce enchanting Large Quarto edition handsomely bound in original decorated blue cloth hardcover with gilt lettering, 12 enchanting full page colour plates plus black and white page illustrations throughout with decorated endpapers and inside boards

188p hand made pages in clear and bright unfaded condition with only slight brown spots to a couple of pages and one page has significant rip which does not detract from the book experience or condition

Owner inscription to front endpaper, spine a little faded in places and corners rubbed but otherwise a very good clean fine and complete copy.

Just for luck, the centre pages contain two vintage pressed four leaf clovers which now form part of the book and it’s character

This release is the sought after charity edition which was limited in release with smaller batch runs due to unsurpassed demand and J M Barrie’s promise as mentioned on frontispiece that he would be waiving his royalties for this edition instead choosing to pass all of the royalties over to Great Ormond Street Hospital London for the care of sick children which was a beautiful, kind and generous gift from this magnificent writer and mighty benefactor
