2003 Jean Pierre Robinot, Lumiere de Silex - Loire - 1 Flaska (0,75 l)

Chenin Blanc from very old vineyard, coming directly from French natural wines legend - Jean Pierre Robinot. This is Jean-Pierre Robinot's first ever vintage produced, from 2003, making is an extremely rare bottle. Elevage in old barrels for 66 months, after that long refinement in the bottle. The bottle was bought from Jean-Pierre Robinot directly, so all these years it was kept in his cellar. The ouillage (wine level to the cork) is very good (visible at the photo that was made during the day), bottle is in perfect condition. So is the cork, label and fully intact capsule.

The ‘Silex’ terroir produces the most sought-after Chenin Blanc based wines because it gives the wine elegance, intense minerality and incredible potential to age.

Wine is very vivid, when tasted few weeks ago, showed great tension, complexity, acidity and structure. Chenin blanc can age very long time. This one is great to drink now but it’s so alive that can be kept in the cellar for years to come.

Wine will be packed in special, very solid styrofoam wine case and shipped by courrier (DPD, FedEx or DHL).
