Designed by Zaha Hadid in 2005, set of three Alessi Crevasses. In the design of these vases, Hadid was inspired by the shapes of a deep crack in the thick ice of a glacier, known as a Crevasse. These vases were shaped entirely by hand which makes each one absolutely one-of-a-kind. This makes the Crevasse a perfect example of Hadid's explorational style towards complex fluid geometries and usage of cutting-edge techniques that demand extreme artisanal attention.

These vases are in new and unused condition. Delivered with original packaging and documentation.

Alessi, a renowned Italian design brand founded in 1921, has become a symbol of cutting-edge design and innovative craftsmanship, especially in Postmodernism and Contemporary design as well as some Bauhaus objects. This marks Alessi’s spot in the design industry with brands like Vitra, Cassina, Artemide/Danese Milano, Kartell, Knoll and Flos which underlined the brands innovation, credibility and quality. The most celebrated design is Philippe Starck's Juicy Salif citrus squeezer, which almost became Alessi’s brand symbol in the minds of design lovers. Alessi's ability to work with groundbreaking figures in the design world echoes the timeless impact of designers like Arne Jacobsen, Eames, Verner Panton and Alvar Aalto whose minimalist approach shares a kinship with Alessi’s sleek designs. Similarly, Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier and Jean Prouvé's dedication to functionalism aligns with Alessi's ethos of merging beauty and utility. This makes Alessi a brand with high impact and rich marriage with fundamental design DNA.
More recently, a collaboration with Virgil Abloh's creative agency (famous for their Nike, Ikea art and Louis Vuitton design) infused a fresh, modern sensibility into Alessi’s offerings.

Zaha Hadid:
Zaha Hadid (1950 - 2016) was a British Iraqi architect who studied at the Architectural Association in London, where she qualified in 1977. She was a teacher at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and was a visiting professor at Yale University. She began her professional career in 1979. Her major completed projects include the ''lf one pavilion'' at Weil am Rhein; the Mind Zone at Millennium Dome in London; a tram station and car park in Strasbourg, the Vitra fire station and a ski jump in Innsbruck. Zaha Hadid is also well known as a painter and designer. She designed products for brands like B&B Italia, Magis and Cassina. Hadid's work has been shown in various exhibitions in the United States, Japan, Britain and Germany.
