Eldest son of Kakusei. After studying under Ishimaru Senshu (a painter from Hakata) and Hirano Gogaku (abbot of Bungo Kesshuji Temple), he became a member of the Southern Song painting society and exhibited his work at exhibitions. He also worked for 42 years as the head of the Dazaifu Post Office and worked for the development of the region.
