Mid - century hand - made compartmental enamel-cloisonné vase pair. Set of two pieces in turquoise and white colours. Both are decorated with beautiful embellishments depicting varoius multicolor floral motifs. Fine golden lines and contours feature a fancy look on top and on the bottom. Period : 1950. Compartmental enamel also known as CLOISONNÉ, an industrial art process, during which fine metal bands and wires are soldered to the surface of a metal object, and then the centers of the contours marked in this way are the so-called cloisons (French: "compartment") are filled with enamel material (water glass powder). The object is then fired, ground smooth and polished. Sometimes a simpler metal is used instead of the usual bands of gold, silver, red or brass. Dimensions: white 8x5 cm, 73 gramm, turquoise : 8x4,5 cm, 66 gramm. An artistic object created with refined taste and sophistication. Special, rare color and decoration, exceptional quality from a private collection.
