Lego - 4002017 Nutcracker - employee Christmas gift 2017

This is a truly unique set in terms of shape and contents.

The Nutcracker was distributed to LEGO employees as part of the annual Christmas gift. As 2017 marks LEGO's 40th anniversary of the Technic sets, the Nutcracker is primarily a Technic set. The box itself is shaped like a mini guardhouse for the nutcracker to reside in.Once the build is completed, there’s a lever at the back of the build to activate the nutcracking movement which also moves arms and mouth. It's also a large set in terms of size standing at about 20 inches / 50cm.

The card read: "In 2017 we celebrated both the company’s 85th birthday and the 40th Anniversary of the launch of LEGO Technic. We bring these two milestones together in this special model – and add a touch of the festive Nutcracker theme as well. Enjoy!" The Nutcracker was the Christmas gift for LEGO employees for 2017.
