Dr Teun Voeten is a war photographer and anthropologist who since 1990 covered conflicts worldwide like Ex-Yugoslavia. Colombia. Afghanistan, Liberia, Sudan, Iraq, Gaza, Rwanda, Syria, North-Korea, for magazines as Vanity Fair and National Geographic. Voeten wrote books on the underground homeless in New York, the civil war in Sierra Leone and the drug violence in Mexico, on which he just made a PhD thesis titled The Mexican Drug Violence: Hybrid Warfare, Predatory Capitalism and the Logic of Cruelty. His latest photo book 'Drug War Mexico / Narco Violencia' just came out at Lecturis Publishers, NL.
