I am offering for auction an impressive and huge 18th century oil on canvas of travellers in a continental landscape. Probably Italy, it features figures on a path with cattle by a lake and castle beyond. It came from a country house where it had been hanging until very recently.
The painting measures 100 x 75 cm. The frame is 127 x 105 cm.
Condition of the paintings is good. Please view all photos for accurate condition. Relined and fully restored. Later frame. Frame has slight damage bottom left. Ready to hang.
This painting is very large. Please be aware of postal costs.
Please note. Due to the fragile nature of old frames and glass, our shippers do not provide insurance for any damage caused during transit. We go to great lengths to ensure each painting is packed and protected to a very high standard but sadly cannot compensate or refund for any damage occurring to frames or glass during transit. Therefore the frame and any glass is a gift to you with zero value and you are bidding on the artwork only.
Due to Brexit, there are delays at EU customs borders though the situation is improving. Please do not blame me for delays or any customs duty payable. I really appreciate your understanding and patience. Steve.
