Complete set with title leaf and all 34 plates of this comprehensive pictorial survey on contemporary seat furniture production in the U.S. after designs by a Chicago based designer named R. Cornelsen.

The map was also published with a New York imprint bearing the following English title: „Modern Seat Furniture: Eighty Original Designs for All Kinds of Modern American Seating Furniture, in the Latest and Most Approved Styles, Showing the Wood Structure. Sketched by R. C., designer for furniture in Chicago.“

Boards of map in parts stained and worn, though skilfully restored, some of the plates slightly finger-stained.

Rare in trade and institutional holdings alike. According to the KVK only 2 copies of present German edition of Cornelsen's work are held in German institutional holdings (Berlin [Kunstbibliothek der Staatlichen Museen, Bauhaus-Archiv]).
