Tsukioka Kogyo (March 7, 1869 [April 18, 1869] - February 25, 1927 [Showa 2]) was an ukiyo-e artist and Japanese-style painter during the Meiji and Taisho eras. He is known as a Noh print artist.
Kohyo's masterpiece, "Nohgaku Hyakuban," is a large series of 120 sheets of 100 paintings (excluding the table of contents and colored papers) that took more than four years to complete, interrupted by an 11-month hiatus due to the Great Kanto Earthquake. The 100 Noh plays are masterpieces that cannot be reproduced in any other form.
