A mint condition Banksy Di-Faced Tenner with an original letter signed by hand by Steve Lazarides and bearing his thumbprint in gold ink on the bottom right corner. It comes in a black “Laz photography” envelope. The Certificate of Authenticity states: “I can confirm that this D-Faced Tenner once belonged to me."
It had been in the private collection of Steve Lazarides - gallery owner and original Banksy agent who helped bring him to public attention.
Chromolithography on paper produced in 2004. Di-Faced Tenner where with the image of Queen Elizabeth II is replaced with that of the late Princess Diana, bearing the motto “I promise to pay the bearer on demand the ultimate price." in a poignant reference to her death. Issued by the “Banksy of England, it features Charles Darwin on the reverse and the bill also proclaims: “Trust no one.”

The Di-Faced Tenner was created by Banksy for a public prank in which a briefcase of the Tenners was “spilled” at Liverpool Tube station in London during rush hour and rained down on crowds at the Notting Hill and Reading Festivals. In 2019 the British Museum in London acquire a Di-Faced Tenner bill for its coins and metals collection.
