A female Bankoni terracotta sculpture, Mali, recognizable by its elongated proportions and distinct features. Her ringed left arm descends her body as her large hand rests on her thigh, short legs, a long tubular thin torso, the right arm is holding an object, the head is composed of the same style of mounts; this beautiful slender piece is of great artistic mastery and graceful simplicity who resonate as a whole profoundly, incl. stand. "Traces of a fourteenth- and fifteenth-century tradition of figurative representations in cast metal and fired clay have been found at a number of sites in the Bamana region near Bougouni and Diola. Bankoni elongated figures, may be an artistic precursor to more recent Bamana wood sculptures devoted to similar subjects."

Jag har samlat i 25 år och handlat med afrikansk konst i 20 år. Jag inspirerades av min fars passion för att samla, som lämnade oss en samling "tyska kolonier". Jag studerade etnologi, konsthistoria och jämförande rätt vid Freie Universität Berlin utan examen. Efter omfattande resor genom Kamerun, Mali, Elfenbenskusten, Burkina Faso, Togo och Ghana bodde jag i Bamako och Segou i tio år. I Segou lyckades jag galleriet "Tribaloartforum", som var tvungen att stängas 2012 på grund av kriget i Mali.
Sedan bosatte jag mig i Lomé Togo, där vi har en filial. För 16 år sedan grundades Jaenicke-Njoya GmbH, och jag har varit dess chefspartner sedan dess. År 2018 öppnade vi ett galleri i Berlin Charlottenburg mittemot slottet Charlottenburg och nära Picasso Museum Berggruen.
Vårt team består av 6 anställda. En arkeolog, en konsthistoriker, en fotograf, en ekonomichef, en permanent representant för vår filial i Lomé, Togo och en fungerande direktör i Berlin / Togo.
