DESCRIPTION
In 1933, having just arrived from Brazil, Clemente da Silva realized his lifelong dream, creating an excellent wine house that would lead him to the globalization of his business: C. da Silva – resulting from the abbreviation of his name. A year later he registered the brand Dalva, which results from the contraction “da Silva”. With a simple and very Portuguese sound, success was easy to achieve in different markets.
Looking for an activity in which to invest the capital from his business in Brazil, the young entrepreneur takes advantage of the close collaboration with the company Corrêa Ribeiro e Filhos, founded in 1862, and owned by his wife's family, to build up his initial stocks and give the first steps in the business, with Vintage Ports from 1896, 1912 or 1920 being famous.
Combining centuries-old knowledge and techniques with new technologies and innovation, Dalva's portfolio is unique and distinct, presenting an unparalleled offer of Colheita Port Wines, which include unique and limited editions, the classic Vintage Port Wines, and a range exclusive range of White Port Wines, culminating in the aged and dated Golden White and Dry White collection.

WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional & Touriga Franca.

VINIFICATION
The grapes were carefully selected at the entrance to the winery and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then aged in 500 liter French oak barrels for 18 months.

TASTING NOTES
With an intense ruby color, this wine appears full of personality, highlighting the spicy notes, discreet nuances of mint, with the fruit appearing in the background. The taste is balanced, with natural acidity, tannins present, but round. Elegant, with a persistent finish.

SERVING
Very gastronomic wine that can be served with a wide variety of cheeses, red meat dishes, roasted or grilled. Serve at 16ºC – 18ºC.

WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz & Touriga Nacional.

VINIFICATION
Upon entering the winery, the grapes were completely de-stemmed, macerated and fermented under temperature control. Aged for 12 months in 500 liter French oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES
Opaque ruby color. Intense aroma of red fruits, highlighting ripe red plums, complemented by a spicy touch of pepper and vanilla. On the palate, strong tannins stand out, with fresh forest notes, balanced structure and volume in the mouth, providing a long finish.

SERVING
It goes especially well with spicy cheeses, red meat and Mediterranean cuisine in general. It should be served at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC.
