Wine bought in Bodegas Riojanas in 2012. Stored in private cellar up to today. Bottles in outstanding condition: very good filling level, corks, color, capsules, labels, no leakage. Fully mature and therefore drinking well now, or cellar for next 20-25 years. 'Millennium Edition' was an extremely limited collection of the best vintages produced by Bodegas Riojanas in the last quarter of the 20th century. Only the finest casks from the better years were selected and aged separately from the rest. The ageing period was prolonged for a few more years than usual. Just a few hundred bottles were sold or given to loyal customers. The wine was planned to be bottled in February 1986 as the regular Reserva. The finest casks were selected by tasting and the wine was aged for 3 more years. Aged for 7 years and a half in cask. Finally, it was hand-bottled directly from the barrel in 1990. Not filtered. The bottles remained in the old cellar in Cenicero village and finally launched in 2000 as "Millenium Edition".
