AMC - Rebel SST - 1967

This Rambler Rebel SST was the top-of-the-line model in 1967. A solid Rebel SST is very rare in today's marketplace A 292ci/4V small block, never rebuilt, with an output of 200bhp, furnishes horsepower. It is backed by a Flash-O-Matic Automatic 3 speed transmission. The Rebel is optioned with power steering and has manual drum brakes w/dual master. Car comes with the original wheels with AMC centers mount. The distinctive body utilizes a sloping roofline that was common for performance hardtops in the '60s. The Exterior paint is mostly original here and there it has some touch ups and repairs of paint. For the rest it comes with the original unrestored black vinyl interior offers a quiet ride with additional sound deadening material in the flooring, and the interior is all stock even with the original Radio there. Classic AMC models in this condition are seldom available –this is a real head-turner. The Rebel models were similar to the senior Ambassador in that they shared the same basic unit body (platform) aft of the cowl. However, the Rebel's front end had an entirely new concept with a “venturi” grille motif in die-cast metal, while its rear end featured a simple design with inward-curved taillights. Rebels came in the base 550 and deluxe 770 models, with a high-line SST available only as a two-door hardtop. Starting with the 1967 models, American Motors offered the industry's most comprehensive warranty up to that time: two-years or 25,000 miles (40,000 km) on the entire automobile, and five-years or 50,000 miles (80,000 km) on the engine and power train. American Motors continued its industry exclusive ceramic-coated exhaust system as standard. This Rambler comes with some history like old invoices and old pictures before it was imported to the Netherlands. The car is very original overall and is a nice example of an unmolested piece, This AMC is ready for a new owner. This car stood for more than 20 years in a Local AMC Museum, and is still very dry and rust free! This Car Comes with a full service of Fluids & Filters, and comes with a USA Title. The car can be viewed in Sneek, The Netherlands.
