This wine remains for 16 months in cement tanks where it has just completed the malolactic fermentation and stabilized. It matures between 24 and 30 months in 225-liter barrels (90% American oak, 10% French and Yugoslavian) with an average age of 15 to 16 years. Bottled in special frosted glass container. A minimum of 36 months of storage in bottle rack in the cellar drafts before being commercialized.

"Faustino V Reserva is a wine from the D.O. La Rioja produced by Bodegas Faustino, owned by Grupo Faustino. In this blend the Tempranillo variety predominates (90%), to which some Mazuelo (10%) is added.
After having harvested, the grains ferment alcoholically for about 10 days at a temperature never higher than 29º.
Faustino V Reserva subsequently begins a maceration process with its own skins for about 20 days.
Faustino V Reserva is finally aged for about 16 months in American white oak barrels from Missouri.
Before going on the market, it rests for another 24 months in the bottle."
