A tulip vase (also called a flower pyramid or flower holder) is a vase that is made to store cut flowers and tulips, but mainly serves as a decorative piece. In the 17th century, (ceramic) tulip vases came from Delft and were decorated with a Delft blue or Chinese decoration. Tulip vases were copied in China and imported by the Dutch East India Company. The tulip vases from the 17th and 18th centuries in particular are also called flower pyramids or flower holders.
