【Product details】

This hand-carved wooden statue from the Showa period depicts Seitaka Dōji, an attendant of Fudō Myōō (Acala). In Buddhist iconography, Seitaka Dōji often stands to the right of Fudō Myōō, symbolizing his loyal follower. He is typically portrayed as a young boy around fifteen, with a distinctive hairstyle featuring five top knots, representing the wisdom of the Five Great Buddhas. His skin is depicted in a deep crimson red, symbolizing his fiery devotion.

Traditionally, Seitaka Dōji would be shown holding a vajra in his left hand and a staff in his right. However, both of these items are missing from this statue.

The statue shows minor wear, some stains, and discoloration due to age. Please review the photos carefully for details on its condition.
