Produced for the first time in the 1977 vintage, it was the first pure Sangiovese vinified in the Radda area in Chianti; The grapes come from the historic vineyards of the property, planted between 1968 and 1999. It ages for one year in Allier barriques and one year in Slavonian oak barrels and is dressed in an intense ruby red. The aging of Pergole Torte 2021 took place for 12 months in barriques, plus 12 months in oak barrels and a further 3 months in the bottle; It welcomes us on the nose with captivating aromas of black cherries and sour cherries also in jam, withered flowers, hot spices, star anise, vanilla tobacco and cinchona, combined with hints of rose and violet potpourri and notes of dark oriental spices, on a background of balsamic and fragile herbs, for a rich and elegant sip, enhanced by silky tannins and a long spicy finish
