[Expert's remark: slightly puzzling bottle. It looks good but it is rare to see an age statement like that in the 1960s, which is what period the Italian tax strip belongs to. For the Italian market, producers seemed to take risk and found creative way to continue to give the age of contents. But not often it was incorporated in the label like that. Perhaps this was old stock sold later.

G. Bonhomme was an independent producer that survived until the late 1950s, at which time Camus bought the brand and then used the name for a pinot. - ES]
