ISLAMIC, Persia, Afsharids. Nadir Shah. As king, AH 1148-1160 / AD 1736-1747 Silver 6 Shahi, Isfahan mint. On the obverse, the inscription "al-Sultan Nadir" appears in three lines, enclosed within a central circular border. This clearly identifies Nadir Shah as the ruler of the time. The reverse features the phrase "khalada Allah mulkahu," which translates as "may God perpetuate his sovereignty," a common phrase in Islamic coinage, symbolizing divine support for his reign. The mint name, Isfahan, and date, 1151 AH, are also visible in the exergue at the bottom of the coin.

Nadir Shah, one of Persia's most powerful and controversial rulers, reigned during the Afsharid dynasty from 1736 to 1747.
