The great imported elephants were elephants that came to Japan during the Edo period (1603-1867) and were often shown at the Nishizume area of Ryogoku Bridge, which was one of the most prosperous places in Edo.
Kuniyoshi Utagawa, Hokusai Katsushika, and others have used elephants as motifs in their works.
The artist is unknown, but the lacquered elephants are written in the style of ukiyoe.
Works from the late Edo period to the Meiji period
SIZE：Diameter 25.4cm Thickness 0.7cm 205g
CONDITION： Good condition .
There are peeling lacquer, scratches and discoloration.
