This exceptional original drawing by Jordi David Redo pays tribute to the legendary Spanish comic book artist Francisco Ibáñez (1936-2023), with whom Redo collaborated for over 20 years.
Ibáñez, celebrated for creating the beloved characters Mortadelo y Filemón (also known as Mort & Phil or Clever & Smart in Germany), left an indelible mark on Spanish comics, and Redo played a pivotal role as one of the official illustrators for the iconic series.
In this brilliant illustration, Mortadelo is humorously depicted in a parody of the most famous scene from the horror film "The Ring" (2002), where Samara, the terrifying ghost girl, crawls out of the television to fulfill her curse.
Clever takes on the role of Samara, blending the chilling atmosphere of the original scene with the comic charm of the Clever & Smart series.
