I am offering for auction a delightful 19th century watercolour of a Scottish rural landscape with sheep near a farmstead by a river. Beautifully painted by listed artist John A Henderson Tarbet, 1865-1937. Signed bottom right and dated 1895.
Offered with no reserve!
The painting measures 31 x 23 cm. The frame is 49 x 41 cm.
Condition of the paintings is good. Please view all photos for accurate condition. Ready to hang.
John Henderson Tarbet was a Scottish landscape painter. He lived in Edinburgh and married the artist Christian Peddie. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, Glasgow Institute, Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Water Colours, the Walker Gallery and elsewhere. He died in 1937.
