This is a 1973 first edition thus copy, of J.R.R.
Tolkien's "The Lord Of The Rings".
The stories were first released as a single volume with illustrated dust jacket, in 1968. The dust jacket features classic illustrations by Pauline Baynes and has the earliest title typeface and arrangement. The book remains in Very Good condition and it would make a great addition to any children's illustrated library or private collection.
