Jinba hat is a type of hat used by infantry and foot soldiers on the battlefield since the Muromachi period.
Made of thin iron or leather, painted with lacquer, and used as a substitute for a helmet. Those used by shoguns and samurai were made of wood and painted with lacquer. Later, they were called chest hats and came to be used by samurai when going out. The leather was rubbed and the back was painted with black, vermilion, silver, and gold lacquer. Some have the family crest on the front and are decorated with lacquer and light blue.
Wooden sword stand. The dragon carving is a wonderful piece.
