Climate
The 2016 vintage was characterized by a mild winter
rainfall and a mild spring. The phases of
budding and flowering, developed homogeneously,
they occurred slightly earlier than normal and then
rebalance starting from fruit setting. The summer season,
characterized by temperatures above average in the months
of July and August, guaranteed light but favorable conditions
stress conditions of the vine, enhancing the territorial character
of each variety. The light rains of September ed
the consequent drop in temperatures have
allowed the grapes, perfectly healthy, to reach a
optimal maturation. The particular exposure of the vineyards of
Spacious, touched by the afternoon Mistral wind, and excellent
thermal excursions trail day and night, have favored it
development of spicy aromatic notes, enhancing balance
of Carménère and the elegant structure of Cabernets. The collection is
started towards the end of September for Cabernet Franc, is
continued with the Cabernet Sauvignon to end with the
Carménère at the beginning of October.
