Circa 14th-17th century AD
This splendid glazed pottery figure of a warrior stands proudly atop a hexagonal plinth. The warrior's head is removable, and he is dressed in vividly coloured armour, with pigments in navy, yellow, turquoise, and black, much of which remains intact. His hands are positioned along his body, with the right hand firmly grasping a broad sword. The figure is a form of mingqi.
Mingqi were burial goods crafted to accompany the deceased in the afterlife. Such artefacts, including this finely detailed figure, symbolized protection and served as a tangible connection to earthly life in the spiritual realm.
Dimensions: 350mm x 110mm; weight 1.51kg
Provenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s.

I received the wrong lot, had to sent it back, they provided a DHL return label. I have confirmation they received it, but they did not send me the coin I originally bought so I lost 250€. No CW help.
