A beautiful mortality plate featuring two amphibians of the species Branchiosaurus (Apateon pedestris), discovered in Odernheim, Germany.
The plate measures 29.5 x 23.5 cm, with the fossils themselves measuring 7 cm and 8.8 cm.
This specimen showcases a good level of detail, including the preservation of small phalanx bones. The amphibians bear a striking resemblance to modern Axolotls.
The plate has been glued and stabilized on the back to ensure the protection of these exceptional specimens.
