Blampied, signed at the bottom, charming depictions of farm life Edmund Blampied R.S.A. was a talented artist, illustrator and etcher who had a long and distinguished career. (Born 1886-died 1966). His Tunisian paintings are currently displayed in the Victoria and Albert Museum London and his ‘Colour symphonies’ were exhibited at the galleries of Alex. Reid and Lefevre. His many children’s books include ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ by J.M.Barrie published by Hodder & Stoughton, which is considered to be one of the finest illustrated editions. Hardback. Light brown cover. A few grubby marks on the back but generally in very good shape. 148 pages, minor marks, overall clean, browned on last page. 12 large size colour plates, signed by Blampied, printed on their own smooth white paper, all clean, colours are vibrant, two with minor creases.
