Collection of Secret Masterpieces of Abuna-e（ukiyoe reproductions by woodblock printing） - Harunobu, Eisen and Utamaro - Japonia

This is a set of 18 works of ukiyoe reproduction by woodblock printing, published in 1981 by a publisher "Ishu kankokai" which is one of the representative companies of the traditional woodblock printmaking.

Theme of this set is "abunae".
"Abunae" is one of the categories of ukiyoe, like "yakushe", "meishoe", "bijinga", "shunga".etc.
It means erotic image that is not as explicit as "shunga".

Regarding the artists of this set, there are 3 works designed by Harunobu, 12 works by Eisen and 3 by Utamaro. Totally 18 works of the complete set without missing numbers.
They put in an envelope with brief explanation sheet in each. But there is just one which doesn't have the explanation missed.

Regarding the size of the prints, 3 Harunobu prints is about 31×24 cm in each and other 15 prints is about 40×27.5 cm in each.

Condition is appropriate for age. Not so bad but a little of wrinkles, scratches or stains in each print.

As shown in the last item photos, it also has the certificate sheet, and the all packed in the case.
