Lovely Victorian copy of Hans Christian Andersen's marvellous tales, with over eighty tales and stories; many interesting, short and sweet. Translated from the Danish by Mrs. H.W. Dulcken. Illustrated with coloured frontispiece, colour plates and black and white illustrations.
Published by George Routledge and Sons, London, c1898. Publisher’s original blue boards, with gilt lettering, coloured illustration depicting scenes from tales, to upper board, and spine. Top page edges gilt.
Book Dimensions: 20 x 14 x 3 cm & Number of Pages: 512.
Condition:
Firm and well-bound copy. Minor wear to boards’ corners with light rubbing to head and foot of spine. Internally; the book in very good condition. No names or inscriptions. Scattered light foxing to some pages. Text is clean. All plates are present and bright (Please see pictures).
