Yipwons are war and hunting spirits, this sculpture was used as a hunting amulet. The figure represents the tribal ancestor as seen in a dream by the carpenter.
Kamanggabi is kept in the ghost house where sacrifices are brought to them. They were brought out exclusively to important events that took days, such as headlines or relocation of the village. It turned around and predicted it through the direction where the face looked into whether or not to take action.
If the figure did not meet expectations, it was discarded.
Condition: Good, no restorations.
Material: hardwood.
