A Mumuye vertical mask, Nigeria, composed in two parts, first the rounded cavity of the helmet, the second half composed of the cylindric abdomen, protruding navel, widened chest, arms on both sides of the body, in a zigzag shape, the neck is long and thick, finishing is the head of abstract shape, composed of the two large square ears, an rectangular mouth showing teeth, a rounded element where two eyes are places; ritual patina, signs of ritual use, some damage at the base, some cracks.
From hundreds of examples of primitive art exhibited in the British Museum, Moore has selected and drawn many works that are now considered to be among the highest quality African and Oceanic art ... Colecționez de 25 de ani și mă ocup de artă africană de 20 de ani. M-a inspirat pasiunea tatălui meu pentru colecționare, care ne-a lăsat o colecție de „Colonii germane”. Am studiat etnologia, istoria artei și dreptul comparat la Freie Universität Berlin fără absolvire. După multe călătorii prin Camerun, Mali, Coasta de Fildeș, Burkina Faso, Togo și Ghana, am locuit 10 ani în Bamako și Segou. În Segou am administrat galeria „Tribaloartforum”, care a trebuit să se închidă în 2012 din cauza războiului din Mali.
Apoi m-am stabilit în Lomé Togo, unde avem o sucursală. Acum 16 ani a fost fondată Jaenicke-Njoya GmbH și de atunci sunt partenerul său de conducere. În 2018 am deschis o galerie în Berlin Charlottenburg vizavi de Palatul Charlottenburg și lângă Muzeul Picasso Berggruen.
Echipa noastră este formată din 6 angajați. Un arheolog, un istoric de artă, un fotograf, un controlor financiar, un reprezentant permanent pentru filiala noastră din Lomé, Togo, și un director interimar în Berlin / Togo.
